Chown donated a suite of bathroom hardware and plumbing fixtures to Portland Homeless Family Solutions’ as part of Jessica Helgerson Interior Design’s thoughtful renovation of their Family Village Campus.

Award-winning interior design firm Jessica Helgerson Interior Design recently refreshed Portland Homeless Family Solutions’ Family Village Campus with a calming color palette, relaxing communal spaces, cozy private quarters, and beautiful hardware and plumbing fixtures donated by Chown.

Chown is one of our most long-standing, consistently positive vendor relationships,” says JHID principal and design director, Jessica Helgerson. “Our sales representative was a smart, fun, kind, solutions-oriented problem-solver who deeply understood our firm’s aesthetic and functional goals.”

Located in Family Village’s communal bathrooms, Chown contributed three ceramic sink basins from Icera sinks, Crosswater London brass faucets, ADA shower fixtures, and Icera toilets to Helgerson’s elevated design. Taking cues from trauma-informed design, Family Village’s cream-colored bathroom palette pairs beautifully with the soft blues and fresh greens in the communal gathering area. The space’s new floor-to-ceiling windows also bathe the room with natural light while half-wall space divisions evoke a sense of privacy and togetherness between areas for lounging and play. Chown was honored to work with JHID and bring comfort to local families as they work toward securing long-term housing.

“The fact that [Chown] donated their beautiful products to our Portland Homeless Family Solutions project was the icing on a long and fruitful collaboration cake we’ve been baking together for nearly twenty years—here’s to twenty more!”
